The Danish Kidney Association has worked in cooperation with Skallerup to set up a dialysis centre, which is located in the holiday central building, next to the supermarket. The dialysis procedures are carried out by the Danish Kidney Association in cooperation with a dialysis nurse.
Haemodialysis is available to both Danish and foreign guests. Residency at the holiday centre is not a requirement for receiving treatment at the dialysis centre.
It is assumed:
- that you are a stable dialysis patient
- that you will bring your own medication
- that your doctor has deemed you suitable for guest dialysis
- that you will see to your own transportation to and from Skallerup
