Practical information

The cottages must be vacated no later than 10.00 on the date of departure. If you want to avoid the queue, we recommend that you check out before 9.30. In the event that you depart before your scheduled departure date, you can settle your bill during the front desk´s business hours.

It is also possible to use the waterpark/playland all day on the departureday-

All linens and towels at Skallerup Klit is guaranteed free of harmful substances and as a minimum Oeko-Tex certified. The laundry we are using has the Swan label and use detergents with the Swan label or "Good Environmental Choice".

ALLERGY CLEANING
In addition to a normal cleaning, an allergy cleaning consists of the following:
• a thorough airing out
• thorough hoovering of furniture, floors and carpets.

Book an allergy cleaning up to 3 days before arrival.

Washing the duvets and pillows
Price: 125,-

The cottages are available as of 15.00 on the date of arrival. Keys may be picked up at the front desk during business hours. If you will be arriving outside of business hours, please contact the front desk to make detailed arrangements.

You can forward your newspapers and post to Skallerup. In the forwarding address, please include Attn: Guest name. Post can be picked up at the front desk.

Bus route 740 runs from Hjørring, which is the closest large town (ca. 12 km), with 2-3 departures daily. See also the schedule for route 740/Hjørring-Lønstrup-Skallerup.

Summer service: The Skagerakkeren
While school is out for the summer, the Skagerrakkeren runs a special summer route from Bokhus via Hjørring to Skagen and back. An excellent option for any tourist doing sightseeing in Vendsyssel. The stops are located close to attractions and sights along the route, and with an all-day ticket you can get off and reboard the bus as you wish. See route plan for the Skagerakkeren.

We see children as persons 12 years or younger. Children count in the total number of persons in the holiday cottage and pay child price in relation to any. package offers where a child price is shown.

Children from 0 - 3 years are considered as small children and can stay free of charge using the child crib in the house.

Please note that children who stay free of charge are excl. package offer meals and activities. If your wish this you pay ordinary children´s price.
Remember to bring blanket, pillow and linens for the crib.

The cottage rental is excl. electricity and heat usage. Electricity and heat is billed for at 2,50 per kWh.

You are at your own risk whether indoors or outside on the holiday centre grounds. If an accident should occur, your family members will be covered by your personal leisure/accident insurance.

Dogs are welcome at Skallerup, but must always be kept on a lead on the holiday centre grounds, out of respect for the other guests. Dog owners must always see to removing any dog waste. Bags are available at the front desk.

A fee of 195,- per cottage is charged for any pets. In the event that evidence of a pet that has not been registered is found during the final cleaning, we will charge a fee of 195,-plus a 50,- processing fee. Please contact the front desk by phone at +45 9924 8400 to register any pets prior to your arrival.

Please be aware that when you book a stay, you are booking a category/cottage type, and not a specific cottage number. In the case of group bookings, we cannot guarantee that the cottages will be located in immediate proximity to one another.

You can withdraw cash from an ATM in the entryway to the front desk. The ATM is serviced by Spar Nord. Please contact the front desk in the event of any problems, and we will attempt to assist you or contact Spar Nord.

There is wireless broadband access in all holiday homes, this enable direct connection to the Internet. However, you must supply your own PC.

Although the cottages are well equipped, we would ask that, in additional to any personal items, you remember to bring things such as toilet paper, paper towels, rubbish bags, detergent, cleaning agents, tea towels, dishcloths, bed linens, hand towels and perhaps a table cloth.

In the winter, it is also a good idea to bring slippers for use in our outdoor-shoe-free areas such as the playland and Team Aktiv.

An environmental fee is 11,- per cottage per day is charged, and paid upon departure.

The environmental fee partly covers renovation costs, water, sewer service and expenses for environmentally and energy-friendly investments, because we are the first CO2-neutral holiday center in Denmark.

Keys may be picked up at the front desk during business hours. If it is not possible to arrive during this time, please contact the front desk to make arrangements for picking up your key.

If you lose the key to your holiday cottage during your stay, we will charge a fee of 100,- upon our departure.

You can avoid waiting at the front desk upon arrival by ordering a Quick check-in when you book your stay. By the front desk there is a shelf on which we will place an envelope for you to pick up on your arrival date. The envelope contains directions to your cottage, keys, access cards, etc. Simply grab the envelope and drive directly to your holiday cottage.

Quick check-in is only possible for arrivals after 15.00 o´clock.

The cottages must be left in orderly condition.

A final cleaning is included for all stays.

Dishwashing, cleaning of the oven, refrigerator and woodburning stove and emptying of rubbish are not included in the final cleaning, but must be carried out by the guests before departure.

Smoking is NOT permitted in the holiday centre´s common buildlings (except from the smoking area in the Irish Pub).

Smoking is also baned in all holiday accomodations.

If we determine any smoking in the holiday accomodation, we will bill for an overhaul, to ensure that the house is smoke free, when next guest arrives.

Skallerup has an agreement with the Hjørring Taxa taxicab company. Remember to refer to the fixed price agreement for guests of Skallerup when booking a cab or, at the latest, when boarding. Once the taxi metre has been turned on, the ride cannot be made at the fixed price. Hjørring Taxa´s telephone no. if +45 9892 4700.

There are phones in all the cottages. Phone use is billed for based on a call meter. It is possible to ring the holiday cottages directly at +45 9924 8 + the cottage number.

The nearest train station is in Hjørring. The bus station and train station are only a few minutes' walk from one another. See schedules.

There is a coin-operated laundry in the centre buildilng with washing machines and dryers.

The laundry is open round the clock. 50,- per load, including detergent and rinse aid.
