Klithusegaarden Farm is set up in the style of the 1950s, as today´s farms are often "off limits" to visitors, while the idea behind Klithusegaarden is to present the farm and show where some of our most important food products come from, such as milk, butter, flour and meat.
In the barn there are wall charts showing how farming has evolved over the last 50 years. There are pictures of people churning butter at home, of the Andels Dairy from the 1950s, and of a large-scale dairy operation. Developments in the slaughterhouse and bread sectors are similarly illustrated.
In Madame Blue´s kitchen, you can buy dough for twist-bread and pancakes. We also have coffee in the jug and home baked cakes.
